If a user is experiencing connectivity issues when accessing Charter network shared folders, complete one or all of the following steps (in sequence):

Set the following registries to 1:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters\RequireSecuritySignature
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters\EnableSecuritySignature

Execute the following in an elevated cmd prompt:

netsh int ip reset (resets the TCP/IP config)

netsh winsock reset (recovers from socket errors)

Remove saved Charter credentials:

Go to Control Panel

Select Credential Manager

Select Windows Credentials

Search for and remove any saved credentials with the user's Charter PID.

Call Charter support (18884150012) to verify the user has the correct permissions to access the network share.
